Global Design Project 216 | CASE the Designer

This week, I will be CASEing a card by Sarah Berry for the Global Design Project

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit
CASEing a card or project means that taking what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set – the colours, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.

GDP216

For my card I selected to case the Mosaic Mood Special Designer Series Paper, and I also rounded the corners of the bottom of my card. As for the rest of the card I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set and the Blended Seasons stamp set. I used the Petal Burst embossing folder to emboss the Whisper White cardstock. The embossing folder is retired but you can use any embossing folder.

IMG_0562

I die cut a circle from the centre of the Mosaic Mood Special Designer Series paper using the Layering Circle Dies, then attached to the front of the embossed card base. I made the scalloped circle by layering the largest and second largest dies from the Layering Circles Dies, using Whisper White cardstock.

IMG_0563

I stamped the butterflies images from the  Butterfly Gala stamp set, it has been a while since I used this stamp set, the butterflies suited my card. I stamped the butterflies using Memento ink colouring the butterflies using Dark Pool Party, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Soft Suede and Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends. The I punched out the butterflies using the Butterfly Duet Punch.

I stamped the “Thank You” image onto a piece if 10.5 x 2 cm White Cardstock, I attached three butterflies to the centre of the circle and a small butterfly to the greeting piece.

IMG_0564

For the insert I attached one of the Butterflies that I had over to the bottom of the insert.
